    First place went Lydia who made a cute white dress.

    Second place went to Hannah.  She drew a beautiful dress.  Unfortunately I do not have a picture of it.

    All the entries were great!  Thank you to everyone who entered items and to those who voted.  Be sure to watch the tower for the photography entries.

  • Sept 2009 TIC Meeting

    The new school year for the Teen Interest Council is in full swing.  We have new members!  YAY!

    During the meeting this month, we discussed the activities for the months ahead. Everyone agree that we need to start writing book, movie and music reviews for the blog.   We are now helping to create displays in the Teen Towers.  We are also deciding what to do for our teen service project this year.

    We are always welcoming new members so please feel free to pick up an application in the Teen Tower or come to our next meeting.  The meetings are the 3rd Thursday of every month at 4:00pm.  Hope to see you there!

  • Teen Photography Contest

    Then, bring it to us and we’ll display it and you might win a prize for your work.

    Teen Photography Contest Official Rules

    1.  Registration Required.

    2. Deadline for turning in a photo is 11/14/09 by 9:00pm.

    (All work must be submitted before the library closes at 9:00 pm 11/14/09.)

    3. Entries will be displayed and voted on from 11/17/09—12/12/09.

    4. Photos may not depict any of the following:

    a. Lewd language (cursing or disparaging remarks about any group or  person)

    b. Nudity

    c. Drugs

    5. All photos must be mounted on artist matting.  These items must be matted securely and be able to hang on the wall.

    6. Awards will be given on 12/14/09.

    7. There is no size requirement.

    8. Entries may be picked up anytime after 12/21/09  (They must be picked up by 12/31/9).
