App, Book, & Music of the Week
The Philip S. Miller Library Teen Interest Council will be rating a new App, Book, and CD each week. We might throw in a Movie or a TV show too. Here’s what we have right now:
App
Zombie Smash by Game Doctors
Players flick and smash zombies through two different campaigns. Campaign one is 30 days long and once you defeat the first 30 days you get two bonus weeks. Campaign two is also 30 days long, and you get new and exciting zombies to smash. There are lots of weapons that you can acquire through your zombie slaying. This game is more addicting than Angry Birds, and once you buy it the new campaigns have been free so far. There is even a function to play online head to head against other players all over the world. This game is so worth the $0.99 and is a must have for iPad and iPhone owners! You can even try out the Lite version for free to see if you like it.
Book
Stupid Fast by Geoff Herbach
Felton is a slow guy with a hippy mom and a smarty pants brother. He is basically a joke, until he hits a growth spurt and gets fast. Like really fast. Like stupid fast. The next thing he knows he is on the football team and his like is moving faster than he ever imagined. It’s a great laugh out loud book. We recommend it for guys and girls who are tired of fantasy and vampire books and need a realistic read. You will laugh your but off and not be disappointed.
Music
Blink-182 Neighborhoods is this week’s best album. Blink is back and this new CD is just as good as the old stuff. With lots of fast drums, fun lyrics, and solid guitar this is a CD that makes us want to ride around in the car singing at the top of our lungs! Some cussing means you should wear ear buds if your listen with people you don’t know or if little kids are around.
